    Hi there,

Today I tried to update to Woocommerce new released : 6.9.1
Website crashed completely, I had to manually downgrade Woocommerce from the FTP.
Then I tried to upgrade again with Flexible PDF coupons deactivated and everything worked fine.

    Error logs reports this :

    Hello @clairejal

    Thank you for feedback.

We apologize for the inconvenience, the problem has been reported as an error, and our technicians are trying to resolve it as soon as possible. As soon as I receive further information on this subject, I will notify you immediately.

Try downgrade WooCommerce to the previous version. It should help. Of course, when we release the patch you will be able to update WooCommerce to the latest version.

    Hello @clairejal

We have just released the Flexible PDF Coupons 1.5.10 (Free) please simply do the update and give feedback, whether the error still exists.

If the WordPress updater hasn’t informed you about the newer versions available, please check for the updates manually choosing the Dashboard tab > Updates > Check Again option.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or if there is something more I can help you with.

    Kind regards,

Hi @rzepsen, (sorry for the duplicate ticket as I’ve also been in touch with your support team though WP Desk official website…)

thanks for the help- and the fix. And then, the fix for the fix…
Now, everything seems to be back to normal.

Just wanted to make it clear for everybody out there that I’m pretty much convinced that this is a good free plugin and I would definitely recommend it to users who need a simple & easy, free, coupons extension for their store.

But while I was about to upgrade to PRO version, I’m now considering to find another plugin..
I mean that business-wise, I’m looking to save precious time benefitting from experts knowledge and regular updates instead of worrying about security issues or fiddling with my whole plugins to fix things everytime there’s an update. I’m aware that nobody is ever completely sheltered from bugs and compatibility issues, there’s no risk 0. Still, I consider that testing an extension’s compatibility with the plugin it relies on is like “the ultimate must-do” when you intend to have people paying for it… Here, I’ve had the impression that this could have been easily avoided running very simple tests with tools like WooCommerce beta tester instead of rushing into a last-minute fix (that revealed to need another fix itself…)

I’m sorry about this and I hope this was just a combination of circumpstances…

    Cheers,

Hello @clairejal , and thank you for the feedback.

The plugin was tested in our test environment, and we did not receive errors. From the few signals that came from our customers, we found that the errors occurred only with some of them. We will continue to analyze what influenced this situation.

We will certainly also analyze the plugin testing process itself for the WooCommerce update. This case shows that we need to implement a solution to prevent out similar cases in the future.

    Thanks again for the feedback.

    Kindly regards
