I am having a major error that has crashed my site. When I go to the homepage, I get the error:

Warning: require_once(WP_PLUGIN_DIR/w3-total-cache/inc/functions/compat.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/replacementlevel/replacementlevelredsox.com/wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/inc/define.php on line 1449

When I go to the admin screen, I get the error:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/replacementlevel/replacementlevelredsox.com/wp-content/object-cache.php.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_cache_init() in /home/replacementlevel/replacementlevelredsox.com/wp-includes/load.php on line 407

I don’t know how to fix this. Please help!

I went into the webftp hosting of my site, and I can’t even find the file “object-cache.php” in the directory they said I’d find it.

Ok, after that panic, it appears to be resolved. I found another thread where someone recommended just deleting the cache plugin and three affiliated files, and that appears to have worked. Phew.
