    Same over here, WP 4.4.2 and 3.1.1
    500s all over the site, upload, plugin (de)-activation and so on.

    UPDATE:
    Seems to be an PHP7 issue on my site. After downgrading from PHP7 to 5.6 the issue seems to be gone!

    Had the same Server Error 500 after the update to Yoast SEO 3.1.1.
    I downgraded from PHP 7 to 5.6. This solved the problem for now.
