I have no solution. Forget I ever mentioned a plugin. Just tell me how to set my sites main description when using latest posts page as homepage. Please help me.

and many people use seo plugins to set the meta description for the various web pages – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/search.php?q=seo+meta+description

you can also edit header.php of your theme directly (ideally via a child theme) and add a conditional code for the meta description; although this would very likely interfere with any used seo plugin.

example:
