• My site works fine with www. however if the address is entered without the site does not work correctly, looks like a text version.

    I had bulletproof security and All in One WP security, I disabled and tried again. No luck. Uninstalled and removed BulletProof because it looked as though it over rides the wp in the .htaccess. Still no luck.

    I tried editing the htaccess file per information I found on the forum:

    that edit wp-login.php in your mysite.com
    add this in that file :

    update_option(‘siteurl’, ‘https://mysite.com’ );
    update_option(‘home’, ‘https://mysite.com’ );

    Still does not work.

  • Hello!
    Can you provide a URL? That will help others troubleshoot the issue.

    This may relate to Domain Mapping (‘A Records,” specifically) managed from within your web hosting admin.
    You may want to map all occurrences of your domain – e.g. https://www.domain.com and domain.com to accommodate those who do, and, do not type ‘www’.

    Good luck!

    The link is https://www.menus-plus.co

    A little back ground info – My domain was stolen so I needed to get the site back up and had to use a different domain name, just changed from .com to .co Not being a web developer guru, I got help from the hosting company. After many attempts to put the files on the new domain and get it to function, they used the clown app in cpanel and I think they entered https://www.menus-plus.co as the domain instead of just menus-plus.co

    Sorry, I meant clone app!

    I’m afraid I’ve not been able to replicate the error.

    If I type “menu-covers.org”, or “menus-plus.co” into a browser address bar, the URL seems to resolve and everything looks okay.

    Are you still having difficulty?

    The actual cause has not been fixed. However, what I did do was create a 301 redirect from without the www to the address with the www.

    I should probably re-clone the the site and make the correction but I hate to take it down for any amount of time, since the theft of my domain name has had an impact on SEO!

    I’m glad you’ve found a workaround.
    Good luck with your project!

    Did you update the URL in WP-ADMIN > SETTINGS > GENERAL?
