From one hour to the next two of my wordpress sites randomly went down. I can’t access their wp-admin dashboards either. I contacted the host but they said it’s not a server issue. Seems true since my other wordpress sites on the same account are fine. I didn’t do anything to the site between the time I viewed them this morning and when they went down. Could it be a dysfunctional plug-in that just randomly started acting up? I have no clue where to begin. I tried upgrading the first site below to WordPress 3.4.1 to see if that would fix the issue, but I’m still getting the same error message. Please help!

  • If you upgraded it’s probably not wordpress itself, try renaming your plugin folder and all theme folders except your default (twenty ten/twenty eleven).

It’s not showing a datbase error, but you might check that too. Check you wp-config.php file against your database settings.

Checked the wp-config files and discovered that I was hacked. Thanks for trying to help. I’m fixing now.

oh my, you may need to replace all your files, check your template files for weird code between the php tags, sometimes it’s very obvious. Hopefully your database is still good. You might want to try restoring a backup.

Both your sites show HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error and https://www.faithwithoutborders.org shows: “Site empty (no content)”.

Contact your host or check for yourself whether all your files are in your site’s server (C-Panel/ File Manager), and also check your database.
