Site Down

  • My site went down out of nowhere. Site is https://www.eminemlounge.com.

    Getting vague error 500. everyone else is getting an error also. other info:

    – using bluehost, server status good, all my other sites are working
    – Nothing in my php error files.
    – tried renaming plugins folder, didn’t work
    – database seems to be working fine

    Please help!

    Check with Bluehost – they seem to be having more problems — they had a major outage a few days ago.

    If that’s the case, shouldn’t my other sites be down too?

    Not unless they all happen to be on the same physical server. Most hosting companies run many, many, different servers.

    Blue Host server status is saying everything is okay. Contacted Blue Host, they responded in ten minutes telling me to rename the plugin and templates folders which I already tried.

    I have a developer who might have changed something. Is there a way of looking at the last changes made (without access to the site or plugin)?

    No – sorry. WordPress does not store changes made to theme or plugin files.

    was referring to the whole site not just theme and plugin files but I’m guessing that’s a no also.

    Post & Page revisions should be stored in your database – assuming you haven;t turned these off previously.
