I cant find it

My WP is installed in the “web” directory as per my hosting

Often, the .htaccess file is hidden (but even with shared hosting in general I see it on the root of wp with Filezilla)

Maybe your provider forbids you access to hidden files?

Another test, your provider usually gives you a subdomain url for your website, aka

https://myclientname.thehost.com/clientnumber

is there a way to search in filezilla for all file?

im not see a subdomain.

Should I call them to see if I can get access to it? If so what should I do..just delete it? then what???

not really or it would take ages FTP is not made for that ?? plus this file should be at the root only (same folder as robots.txt, wp-settings.php so on).

i found it?? its in a different folder for some reason

I seem to have a “web” folder in which they had me put WP and a “www” folder which contains the htaccess file

what is the folder please? like i just said, if same folder as wp-settings.php it’s the right one and real root.

make a backup in case (download it) and delete it from FTP, try if it works better your security plugin might have screwed it (my guess).

wordpress will recreate the .htaccess file automatically so don’t be afraid to try (after you made a backup).

i looks like when i tried to change functions or config that code i entered wont go away even though I deleted it

Look at index.html on root and delete it, WP don’t use .html on root it’s a default page

This should solve the issue, and index.php of WP take the lead ??

I tried to change web address to HTTP so I added this to wp-config define(‘WP_HOME’,’https://example.com’);
define(‘WP_SITEURL’,’https://example.com’);

That didnt work

then I tried to add to functions.php,
update_option( ‘siteurl’, ‘https://example.com’ );
update_option( ‘home’, ‘https://example.com’ );

That didnt work

And one point when i pasted the code i forgot to change the
update_option( ‘siteurl’, ‘https://example.com‘ );
update_option( ‘home’, ‘https://example.com’ );

from https://example.com to seasidebeachhomedecor.com

I deleted all codes but site still points to https://example.com
