Site down after installing plugin. Cannot access front end or dashboard….

    Receive the following error
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/content/38/3020938/html/abodes/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-stripe/includes/class-wc-stripe-webhook-handler.php on line 101.

    Cannot say what PHP is at the moment as I’m completely locked out!!!

  • I’ve been getting the same thing all week on my site too. The only way I’ve found to get access to WP admin is to log into my web hosting account, find the WooCommerce plug-in and delete it. That’s not particularly helpful if I want to sell things.
    I’ve tried disabling and even deleting all non-essential plug-ins, but the site crashes as soon as I try reinstalling and activating WooCommerce. My next step is to try uninstalling my theme.
    If anyone has an answer, I’m all ears.

    I just installed Stripe on a site and am getting the same error.

    I tried a default theme, I also tried deactivating all unnecessary plugins – no luck.

    Any fix for this?

    @daveolsen – check that your server PHP version is 5.6+ and woocommerce plugin folder name is woocommerce and that you’re using Stripe 4.1.2

    Just checked, the server is running 5.3.3

    I’ll talk to my host and see about getting that upgraded.
