SIte down after last update

Hi, the last update automatically made some changes to my HTACCESS page that made all the pages show:
“The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@md-saude to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log”It had something to do with an index.html automatically placed after my directories page URL.
I can see all the posts if I am logged in to WordPress and I can use the admin panel, but to all my visitors, the site is down. I had to restore my last backup, because I do not have enough technical skill to revert the changes in the HTACCESS.
