Site goes offline after updating to Version 4.6.9

    Hi,

    Last night i’ve updated Slimstat Analytics to Version 4.6.9 and since i’ve installed the new version my site goes offline. After switching PHP to version 5 and back to 7 (effectively resetting the PHP process for my website) the site comes back online for a short moment and then goes back offline.

    After trying some time (with resetting my PHP multiple times) i’ve managed to disable the Slimstat Analytics plugin and now the site stays online and is working as usual and keeps stable.

    Are more people experiencing this behaviour with the new version? It seems like it broke my site / messes up the php process at my hosting

    Hi,

    thank you for reporting this issue. We are not aware of any critical issues that affect Slimstat to the point where it brings a website down. What provider are you using? Are you sure your provider allows you to use Slimstat? Some hosting providers like WP Engine, do not allow our plugin on their servers.

    If that’s not the case, could you check your web server error log (when the website is “down”) and see what is being reported to get a clue of what might be happening?

    For me V.4.6.9 stopped showing details in the dashboard, also the overview in the plugin-settings didn’t show up. I didn’t searched further, I just reinstalled V.4.6.8 and everything is fine again.

    we are working on a fix. Next time, please do not hijack someone else’s thread, I encourage you to start your own, or find another thread that highlights a similar problem to yours.
