• Yesterday I was prompted to update the plugin “Visual Composer” and after the update finished, The next click brought me to a white screen with this message:

Warning: require_once(/home/ericmannvoices/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/config/lean-map.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/ericmannvoices/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-mapper.php on line 55

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/ericmannvoices/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/config/lean-map.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/ericmannvoices/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-mapper.php on line 55

I’m not sure what to do, it seems as though this plugin has broken the entire site, and I don’t know how to get the site back

  • Using the file manager provided by your host, rename wp-content/plugins/js_composer to wp-content/plugins/js_composer-old

sorry can you say what you are suggesting in plain english. I don’t understand. Just so you understand further, even wp-adim for the site has disappeared… is there a way to do what your saying by logging into wordpress.com?

    Nothing to do with WordPress.com

Your host is GoDaddy. You need to log in there. They will have somewhere on your page a file manager. Use that to see all the files in your site. Find the wp-content directory and under that the plugins directory. In that you will see all your plugins. Find js_composer. Highlight it. There will be a menu choice to rename. If you don’t see that try right clicking on the highlighted js_composer. Rename js_composer to js_composer-old.

That will get you back into your website.
