Site gone !! help please

    i have been running a website for a local charity organisation that a friend of mines runs . I don’t do much to it just add pictures to the gallery sinmple stuff really well she asked me if i could connect it to her google account i went through all the relevent info and googled how to do it .
    so i added the verification code in the dashboard/appearance/editor/ then i think i added it to php . but i cant recall which one next thing
    my dashboard went off
    the site went off
    i can not even log in through the website/login
    any help would be greatly appreciated i am lost

  • Hey, Nowhereman!

    Yep, you hosed your site through a PHP change, I suspect.

    Don’t fret, though. You should be able to FTP to your site, find the file you changed, download it to your PC, undo the change you made, and upload it back. If you don’t have an FTP account, go to your cPanel, and create one. I use a free utility called Filezilla, which is great.

    i don’t know where the site is hosted as i never set it up someone who used to work for my friend set it all up. i am fretting bigstyle .
    i dont know how to even get to the cpanel
    as i said all i dont was go to websitename/login and log in from there but that wont open now either

    Looks like your site is hosted here: https://www.tsohost.com/

    You need to contact whomever it is that’s paying for the hosting and get the login info to the cPanel, if they’ll give it to you. Then, you can log on and set up an FTP account, then FTP into the site.

    Hi thanks very much augustin i have managed to contact the person who has been paying for the hosting and they are going to email me all the relevant info thanks again
