Site got crashed after updating the WordPress

Did you try the manual update, as I suggested?

Actually we tried that, but the very first step is to take backup of the site, but since its not working so how to take backup of the same

Download wp-content/uploads to have a backup of the files you’ve uploaded, wp-config.php for your configuration, and export the database via PHPMYADMIN. All of that is good and well worth doing, but not absolutely required for what you need to do right now.
