• My WP site got hacked (www.radiantmarketinggroup.com) and someone posted to it. They also apparently changed the password thereby preventing me from logging in and deleting the posts. I tried using the “lost password” function, but get a message that WP can’t send the email.

I’m not that technically savvy with WP, but need to remedy this problem. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. I do have FTP access.

  • Do you have access to PHPMyAdmin? You can go into the database tables and change the password yourself that way, as well as replacing your proper admin email address.

I’m still searching for the walkthrough on this, but that’s the way I’d say it had to be done.

    As ladydeluna says, change passwords:

In fact, change EVERY password for your site.
    And make them good ones.

I do have access to PHPMyAdmin, and have made changes to the login, but they do not seem to be having any effect. I also deleted the post that was hacked, but it’s still showing up as well.

Ah, ok. I followed pods directions in the tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/phpmyadmin/ tutorial and I’m in and have deleted the spurious posts and changed my password to something better. Thanks!!!!
