Site hacked

    Hello

    So my site was hacked and my hosting told me it was due to not having the right passw protection.

    I have a full backup made some weeks ago , when all was working

    In Cpanel can i use a restore function ?
    Is this a matter of just deleting everything and re uploading ?

    Help please

    unfortunately, you can’t restore from cpanel. You can send your backup to your hosting provider (via wetransfer.com, yousendit or any other similar service) and they can restore it for you.

    If everything is wiped out restore it back &

    If you are unable to access wordpress admin, try this out:

    1. login to cpanel
    2. go to database >> phpmyadmin
    3. click on your database and then wp_users
    4. Click on edit and change the user name and delete or change any extra

    & make sure you keep some strong password next time. Something combined with uppercase, lowercase, letters and numbers. And try some security plugins.

    Hello

    Well actually is the way around i can log in my wordpress admin

    but inexplicably i cant log in the cpanel (maybe this has nothing to do
    with the hacking but its another problem) i also contacted my hosting
    but they take ages to reply

    Can i change something in the wordpress admin ?
