• Hi there – I have a problem with 2 sites that were hacked and I cannot access. The main site is touchedtherapies.com, whereby Wordfence identified affected files that could be deleted, so I did and then was unable to access wp-admin. I have an Updraftplus backup, but only on the hosting server, but is in Zip format. Temporarily I have changed the name servers to Godaddy (where the domain is registered) and created a temporary site,so there is some presence for my wifes business whilst I try to recover. Any help appreciated and am quite desperate…

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Please elaborate on the matter, what do you mean by can’t access?
Do you know which fields were flagged and deleted by WordFence? If you had WordFence properly configured, the hack attempt should’ve been blocked… something else occured, I take it.
you should first log into phpmyadmin and check your wp_users and wp_usermeta tables
see what’s in there… if you’re recreating the super admin, make sure you select MD5 for the password field so it’s properly generated

Sometimes those web file scanners can give false reports. Once you have restored your website back to its working order, you will need to investigate if the file scanner plugin is reporting a false positive or not.
