Site Hacked, Japanese Characters Visible and Now Google Can’t Crawl Site
-
Hello,
Any help would be very much appreciated.
I noticed that one of our website had Japanese characters in the header when you searched for the site in google. You can view this when you search for our site in google (you will see the characters スーパーコピー時計n級品代引き専門店,ブランド時計コピー in the H1 & title tags).
Obviously there is some code that was added to the site though one of the plugins recently and they were able to make some changes to the site. I downloaded a plugin called wordfence and I was able to find and eliminate the file that had all of the characters, BUT, they were also able to make our site not crawl-able by google.
I have attempted to submit the sitemap and request our site to be fetched by google (https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/googlebot-fetch) to hopefully overwrite the Japanese characters and I get error messages that say “site not found”.
I was also told that is worth running the domain though https://search.google.com/search-console/mobile-friendly to double check to see if google can access the site that way. The results say “We Can’t Access The Page: This could be because the page is unavailable or blocked by robots.txt”.
If you go to duncankeith.com/robots.txt you can see that the robots file is still there working properly. Possibly there was some additional code added to our site to prevent it from being crawled.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? Thank you!
