Site has gone

  • Pleasae can anyone help. My word preess site has gone. Only an image on home page and admin a blanc page. Only thing i changed was teh theme a few days ago, changed to the theme called Easel and now the image that shows is from that theme, but there is nothing else. DB is still there and I can not see any corrupted tables. Config files is looking at the right things.

    Can anyone help. Must add I am using my iPad am not at home. But have other word press sites and they are all fine and i can access admin on the iPad so don’t think it is that.

  • try ftp to site or use host’s file manager to rename /easel folder
    this will bring up twenty ten theme and let you test

    It sounds like the theme is not compatible with the iPad.

    Send the URL and I’ll let you know if I see it.

    Thank both of you for your quick reply. URL is https://hazlehurstinternational.com/news/ hopefully you are correct and it is an iPad thing, however I can access other sites homepages and admin but can not access admin on is this one, can a theme do this to the admin?

    Hi samuel, I did as you said and just got a blank page for both home and admin. Have put the folder name as it was and have again an image for home page and white blank page for the admin.
    All very strange. Will have access to my pc tomorrow will have a look then. But am very concerned incase my site has been hacked.

    When I view your site now with the /news URL, I see a full-screen picture of planets.

    When I view what I imagine is the home page — https://www.hazlehurstinternational.com —
    it is re-directed to this URL
    https://www.hazlehurstinternational.com/home-1.shtml

    and it is displaying a page titled Pollen?a Holiday Villa & Apartment with real estate listings. This site appears to be working correctly — links from the left nav bar pull up pages that appear to be the desired page, such as
    https://www.hazlehurstinternational.com/villa.shtml

    I’m using Firefox. Maybe you made changes that fixed the problem?

    Hi driverseven. The news URL is my news blog and is the problem. It should have posts with videos etc, you are seeing the same as me then. The word press site is kaput.
