    Hi there,
We are getting an error via wordpress dashboard/ site health.

    Error:
    Missing table: wp_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta

WP Mail SMTP is using custom database tables for some of its features. In order to work properly, the custom tables should be created, and it seems they are missing. Please try to re-install the WP Mail SMTP plugin. If this issue persists, please contact our support.

I deleted the plugin and reinstalled and still the same.
The plugin seems to be working but just want to verify that this doesn’t harm functionality.

    Thanks!

  • Hi @tmillan38,

Thanks for reaching out. The table mentioned is used to run tasks by using the Action Scheduler library. This library is also used by some other plugins for scheduling tasks. Are you getting any other errors related to Action Scheduler in your site health? You could possibly share your site health status with us.

To uninstall the plugin with all the associated data, you can enable the “Uninstall WP Mail SMTP” checkbox in plugin settings -> “Misc” tab and then delete the plugin and re-install.

You can also change the option in your site to re-create the missing table by following the steps in the last reply in this conversation.

    I hope this helps!

Hi @tmillan38 – We haven’t heard from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and mark this ticket resolved. If you still have questions, though, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
