Site icon cropped

    I’m having some difficulty installing a site icon in a new site.

    The site icon file is sized 512 x 372 px. But when I try to install it, WP tries to crop off the sides, even though the image is already appropriately sized.

    Can anyone help? The following two screen shots tell the story.

    The site icon needs to be square in order to meet the favicon specification.

    I recommend editing the source icon and adding enough empty space around it to make it square.
