Site Icon width twice too small – crop bug

  • Hi,

    I have problems with Site Icon on upgraded and fresh installs – no matter is it PNG or JPG with exactly 512x512px, their sizes are not properly cropped.
    Note when I upload 512x512px I have no ask for crop it.

    For example sizes="32x32" is 16x32px image.
    When I am trying get to 32x32px image, it doesn’t exist.

    Image on the right is still 512x512px (checked with image properties).

    I am not running any plugin that may automatically modify images output.

    What may be the issue?
