• Since updating to WP Super Cache v1.5 my site is inaccessble (including the admin area). I get this error:

Fatal error: Class ‘WP_REST_Controller’ not found in /web1/user1/website/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/rest/class.wp-super-cache-rest-get-settings.php on line 5

  • It appears to be happening to most. Hopefully 1.5.1 will be released soon with this bug fixed.

@hbriggs60 do you know how can we get in to update it to the next version if we’re blocked from logging into our site?

What version of WordPress are you using? Can you upgrade to 4.8?

As far as I can tell, this version of WP Super Cache requires at least WP core 4.7+, so if you’re running an older version of WordPress you’ll need to either update WP core or roll the WPSC plugin back to version 1.4.9.

If you’re unsure how to do either of these, I would recommend you reach out to your WordPress support provider or developer for further assistance.

    Hope that helps!

I’m on 4.6.6, I’ll work on getting it upgraded

    Thanks for the advice, @karpstrucking!

I don’t have a developer, and am unsure about a WP support provider. I do my site myself.

If I’m unable to login to the admin panel as a result of the problem, I’ve no idea how to update my version of WP.

If you have any tips, I’m all ears. But I’ll keep searching…

    Thanks again!

@iameowyn you can disable the plugin by renaming the folder using FTP

Thank you so MUCH!!!!! It worked ??
