  • Can you still get into the admin? If so, try switching to the 2010 theme and see if the error goes away. If it does, then there’s an error in your theme files, most likely the functions.php or header.php

No admin, nothing. I renamed the plugins directory and can now access the site, albeit plugins-less, but I am not sure how to reactivate plug-ins one at a time to see who the culprit is.
    Any suggestions?

Via FTP, I would download all of the plugins on my desktop and then in a new folder called plugin, I would re-upload them one by one.
Hopefully you can now access the admin and reactivate them.

Or via FTP you can create the ‘plugins’ folder and one by one move back the individual plugin files from your renamed folder into ‘plugins’ ??

Thanks so much. I actually just re-installed them one by one and found the culprit.

Can you please let us know which one was the culprit and then mark the post as resolved? This might help others in the same situation.

    Thanks

I am using an e-commerce plugin called MarketPress which has been fantastic, other than the fact that it only allows one flat rate shipping option. I was tweaking the php with the guidance of a support person at the developer’s forum, but it didn’t work and in fact, gave me the white screen. So now my site is back but I am still facing the shipping rate problem.

Ah that’s good to know. I would start another thread and ask about the shipping rate problem.
Glad to hear that the site is back up though… that’s a bit more important. ??
