Site is down, Fatal error in wordfence?

    I renamed wordpence directory in the plugins directiory – and the site is up OK.

    Please advise – how can I have wordfence work again on the site?

    I have reinstalled wordfence and it works fine.

    Turned on Wordfence Falcon Engine and it works fine.

    What happened then? Why did wordfence crash my site?

    I turned off auto updating of wordfence, just in case.

    Which WP Version are you using?

    3.8.5

    Its because you are using an old version of wordpress that does not support new functionality. We discovered this after we released 5.3.7 and quickly implemented a fix for it. Please note that going forward we are only supporting wordpress version 3.9 and above.
