Site is incredibly slow problem.

    We are having trouble of our site for a while. ( https://dizi-mania.com/ ) We are working with dreamhost. Last support tickets i send to dreamhost as below;

    Me: Hi,Regarding our “site is slow” problem; we re-install dizi-mania.com.
    But, same problem occurs again. It is about 2 months and a sent several
    support tickets but this problem is not solved yet.

    that your Apache service was a bit sluggish. I have restarted it and now

    we are still having “site is slow” issue. I get that error below;
    “Service Temporarily Unavailable
    The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”
    and some time when i edit my articles, i save that and get “404 not found” error.

    I’m currently not seeing any issues with your server but it appears that
    our procwatch script has been occasionally stopping your user ‘widfara’
    for high memory usage.

    This would explain the errors on your site. Procwatch will monitor and
    kill process if there is too much memory consumed by a single user. This
    is in order to keep the server healthy and to prevent any high loads
    which can affect other users on that same server. I see that wordpress
    is running on your site. Please try to optimize it as much as possible:

    -Install and turn on a caching plugin and ensure that your wordpress
    install, plugins, and themes are all up to date.
    -Limit the amount of plugins and remove any unnecessary plugins(even the
    non-active ones).

    Understanding “Why is my site slow?” is one of the more annoying and cryptic aspects of a website, since it pretty much all comes down to “What are you doing and how?”

    The load on your server is a little high, though not terribly. Looking at your error log (it’s in ~/logs/DOMAIN/http/error.log) I see a lot of messages like this: Premature end of script headers: index.php

    Since support already said you had high load (NB A user having high load is not the same as the whole server though they do impact each other), what’s happening is that PHP is timing out before it can do everything.

    “Great, Elf Girl, how do I fix that?” you may be thinking. (Yes, I call myself Elf Girl)

    1) You’re not running any caching plugins. You’re on shared hosting. I would recommend WP Super Cache. When you do set it up, make it use mod_rewrite (aka the .htaccess rules) and not PHP

    2) You’re using PageSpeed (YAY!) – Consider some of the pagespeed customizations: https://wiki.dreamhost.com/Page_Speed_Optimization#Customizations

    3) Consider GZIP: https://wiki.dreamhost.com/Htaccess_tricks#Faster_Page_Load_Times_.2F_Bandwidth_Saver – You can speed up load time and it plays nicely with WP Super Cache

    4) Make sure you’re not running ‘Regenerate Thumbnails’ a lot. It’s HEAVY on the load.

    5) You may need to bump PHP memory a little, btu I would hold off on that until you do the other things first.

    If you need assistance with performance, please let me know I might just be able to help.

    1.) Is Caching setup and is it setup properly.

    2.) Is GZip Compression and Minify HTML, CSS and JavaScript setup properly.

    3.) Shared Hosting, are you hosted with shared hosting? A lot of big names out their say their optimized for it when in fact their not. For example GoDaddy say’s there optimized for it and I found another customers wasn’t optimized whom was hosted through GoDaddy. The Word press Max memory setting was set to 48 MB. We setup all of ours to by default to use 128 or more.

    4.) Who is your current hosting provider?

    5.) Do you have a CDN provider?

    We have extensive experience in troubleshooting word press performance issues and most of it is related to hosting solutions, improper PHP settings or word press settings and etc.

    If you’re not sure, feel free to say so too.
