Site is messed up help…

  • I need to upgrade my theme on my wordpress site, but I can’t even upgrade my theme or upload a plugin because the thing is highlighted grey and it gives me the error Failed to connect to FTP Server ec2-107-20-25-247.compute-1.amazonaws.com:21

    I’m trying to use FTP, but it’s greyed out to FTPS (SSL)….

    can someone please help me get this up and running.

  • Did you try to log in to FTP with something else like WinSCP or Command line to see if you are still able to login? If FTP is working properly, maybe just a setting (ie. FTP, SFTP, etc)

    When I use FTP and drop in the files they don’t show up or register. It acts like I didn’t add anything to the theme or plugin file at all.
