Even your site is slow – https://goldplugins.com/ – you must be using the same plugin.

I rolled the plugin back to Version 1.0 and now I get this error message

    [testimonials_cycle theme=”default_style” width=”100%” count=”9″ order_by=”date” order=”ASC” show_thumbs=”1″ hide_view_more=”0″ testimonials_per_slide=”1″ transition=”fade” timer=”9000″ pause_on_hover=”true” auto_height=”calc” show_pager_icons=”1″]

Updated the plugin again and still get this error message

And site is not slow if I revert back but now I can’t “fix” this error

    [testimonials_cycle theme=”default_style” width=”100%” count=”9″ order_by=”date” order=”ASC” show_thumbs=”1″ hide_view_more=”0″ testimonials_per_slide=”1″ transition=”fade” timer=”9000″ pause_on_hover=”true” auto_height=”calc” show_pager_icons=”1″]

    Hey @rbennett!

Thanks for the report. I’m not seeing an error message in your post above, just a couple of shortcodes, can you clarify the error?

We are aware of the issue causing slowdowns for users and are working on an update today. In the meantime, I would roll back to version 2.3.1 of Easy Testimonials (the version you were on before performing the update) and stay tuned for an update from us.

    All the best,
    Richard

Sorry thought i sent a screenshot – instead of showing the testimonials it was showing the SHORTCODE

When I downloaded the previous version from this page – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-testimonials/advanced/ – it only had versions 1.1 and versions 1.0

Luckily i have daily backups so I was able to get version 2.3.1 from my backup and reinstalled it and it is fine now and not slow anymore

Could we have a link to the 2.3.1 please?

    Hey @rbennett!

    Thanks for letting me know.

So, it sounds like the site was too slow with version 3, you rolled back to too old of a version and so your shortcodes quit working, and then you restored to backup and the shortcodes started working again. That all makes sense!

We are working on a patch to address the site slowdowns, when you are able (if you have a place you are comfortable trying it out) I would give version 3.0.2 a try and see if your slowdown issue goes away.

Thanks for your patience as we work through this!

    All the best,
    Richard

I tried 3.02 just now but it is still slow — don’t think it is as slow but still slower than with 2.3.1

Can you please add ALL of your versions on this page – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/easy-testimonials/advanced/ in the dropdown box. Only 1.1 and 1.0 are showing.

    Thanks,
    Robin

    Hey @rbennett!

I’m glad to hear it improved things. As of version 3.0.3, all code causing issues with slowdowns has been removed.

I’m not sure of our ability to retroactively add past versions to the www.ads-software.com repository (which is where that drop down is generated from.) It sounds like you already have a copy of 2.3.1, but if you do need the file delivered you can send a message to our support desk at [email protected] and we can provide you the file that way for sure.

    All the best,
    Richard

We’ve confirmed that all related slow downs from version 3 have been patched and resolved as of version 3.0.4.

    Thanks for your report!

running PHP5.6 on IIS/Windows (WIMP stack) I get the following error:

PHP Fatal error: Class 'ikTestimonialsCustomPostType' not found in [...]\wp-content\plugins\easy-testimonials\easy-testimonials.php on line 471

This seems related to the same update issues. I rolled back to the previously available package on packagist (1.1 — not to harp, but was that the last stable release?) and it seems to work. Are you no longer supporting PHP 5.6? It seems to work fine in 5.6 on my Linux Dev machine…
