• Hello guys.. I am sure this is a question you have heard at least a million times, and I apologise for this in advance. I have googled around, followed guides, talked to my hosting and everything else you could possibly imagine. The result has been a much faster site, but I am still not satisfied. I was hoping one of you smart people out there would please go out of your way to take a look, at my website. I run recreational sports activities site for our local community, and the information on our site is very important.

So yeah.. If someone would please take a look at it all. See what could be the issue and com with concrete fixes.

    Thanks a lot!

  • I think you can delete W3 Total Cache since Cloudflare will do the caching part.
    Regarding 6 & 7 –
    Do you know about ftp?
Can yoy login to the root of your server?
If yes then you’ll find a file named .htaccess. , you just have to edit it , if you can’t then just download any plugin for editing the file .htaccess. & edit it.

I know about the HTC but I am very scared about editing it, in case I touch the wrong places. I must have done something wrong, because is my site not still super slow to you guys? I setup everything ??

Can you provide the code of your .htaccess file here , I’ll modify the code & give it to you so you can overwrite it with the defualt one.

This is a simple problem to solve. And it won’t require re-coding htaccess or the addition of plugins.

Your site daniaevents.com is beautiful. That beauty is irrelevant however, if no one stays around long enough to see it!

You are using extraordinarily large images in your top-of-page slider. Just a single one of those slider images (C8D7780.jpg) is in excess of 17MBytes with the total homepage download size much greater than that.

Even modern broadband speeds won’t deliver that digital load to a browser is less than 30-40 seconds – far in excess of the 2 second response expected by most users!

Work on reducing your individual image sizes to less than 1MB (much less if possible) and use fewer of them in the top slider.

    Best of luck!
