Site Is Showing the same Homepage like a static one

    Recently my site suffered from a hack attack. Now I am having a problem with my site, it’s homepage is showing the same thing like it is a static page (but it’s not). Even if i posted something new homepage won’t show it unless i reload the site. I tried deleting cache, cookies but still having the same issue. Still needs a reload to show the new post.

    BTW: I am not using any caching plugin, the malicious hack ruined it all so i have to disable and delete all plugins .

  • Do you have a link to your site? I think I’m missing something, because I would expect that you need to reload the page in order to see a newly added post?

    Did the hacker leave an index.htm or index.html page in you site root by chance?

    yes i have to reloa it to see newly added post. Here is my site https://wereblog.com

    There is no index.html on my root, but i’ll keep on looking on other folders. I’ll update you when i see something suspicious.

    on my WP Content → uploads → i found a folder named “wysija” with an index.html in it, but it has no codes just blank.

    Hi Wereblog, you don’t need to keep looking for index.html outside the root folder.

    You will always need to reload the page after adding a new post in order to see it, but if you think this is wrong, upload a quick video / screenshot detailing what you are doing and I’ll try help with more detail.

    i manage to fix it by deleting the .htaccess file. Now it’s working fine
