Site Issues

  • Hello. I’m having a ton of problems that I’m hoping a few solutions will resolve. I’m new to the whole WordPress deal, needless to say I don’t know a thing about the Multisite version. I have it all installed (GoDaddy customer service walked me through it multiple times) so I’m sure it’s done right. My issues lie when I create a new site and try to access its Dashboard to begin editing it. Once I click the link it goes to a page that is blank except for the word “pageok” in the top left corner. And now, on top of that, none of the links work any longer on the primary domain’s pages anylonger. They worked fine when I wrote them in and tested them, but then I could no longer access even this site (kept getting a 500 error). Told GoDaddy, whom removed / renamed my .htaccess file. I have also installed my SSL cert in order to have a dedicated IP address per GoDaddy’s instructions. I just want to be able to have this Multisite up and working so that I can replicate it with ease. Any help at all will be appreciated.

  • Do you mind sharing a link for us to look at? The main site and a sub-site would be great.

    Also, what is in your current .htaccess file? Are you using subdomains or subdirectories for this multisite setup?
