Hi there, thanks for reaching out.
While it’s not possible to hide your connected dashboards from other WordPress administrators who may have also connected Site Kit they can only view your Analytics or AdSense data if you’ve granted them access at product level.
For AdSense specifically you would have needed to grant your other WordPress administrators access via their Google account using the steps in this AdSense Help Center article.
If you did not provide access from the AdSense platform then any other WordPress administrators who setup Site Kit would encounter a notice similar to the below in their AdSense dashboard:
Data error in AdSense User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.
Let me know if you have any further questions on the above and I’d be happy to assist. Note that the above assumes that your other WordPress administrators are of course signing into Site Kit from their own Google account and not using a shared Google account.
Amazing.. My problem has been solved
Happy to hear it, thanks for the update. If you have any further queries be sure to get in touch. If you have a moment free please also consider sharing your thoughts on the plugin so far, it sounds like you’ve been using Site Kit for a while and we’d love your feedback.
Sure
“If you did not provide access from the AdSense platform then any other WordPress administrators who setup Site Kit would encounter a notice similar to the below in their AdSense dashboard:
Data error in AdSense
User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.”This statement proves to be wrong. The other administrators are also seeing the earnings of adsense, while they have not been given any access to adsense.
@keshavgupta Thanks for the update. Can you share whether they’re using the same Google account to login?
I am not giving any credential to him. Site kit has already my login detail so that other administrator are accessing.
Thanks for the update. You are correct, not ideal to share Google logins. I’d be happy to look into this further for you.
- First of all do you know the Google account which the user used to sign in to Site Kit with? You don’t need to share here, I just want to you to confirm that it’s a separate Google account.
- Secondly can you share whether you’ve provided any additional users access to your AdSense account at AdSense level?
- Lastly please share whether this second administrator has their own approved AdSense account. (with the email they’ve used to sign in with Site Kit)
Just to keep you updated on this. I’ve been able to recreate a similar experience although once checking from a browser incognito window the earnings were no longer visible for secondary administrators. On your side can secondary admins see any information when accessing the “AdSense” tab specifically, rather than just the “Earnings” tab form the main Site Kit page?
1. Yes I know the google account. That is my google account.
2. No, I didn’t provide any access to other google account at any level.
3. No, Other administrator doesn’t have any adsense account.
Actually second wordpress administrator already logged in with my google account. because site kit has register with my google account and this account is same for search console, analytics, adsense and pagespeed.
Thanks for the follow up. So if I understand it correctly the second WordPress administrator user signed in to Site Kit with your Google account. If that is the case then then this is normal that they can view your earnings.
For your understanding any additional WordPress administrators can sign in and use use Site Kit however they must sign in with their own Google account when setting up the plugin themselves. If they want to view the various dashboards (which another administrator may have setup) then they need access to the respective Analytics or AdSense account.
Let me know if you have any further questions on the above, or if the above if not what occurred on your site. We have additional information on the plugin website in relation to signing into Site Kit.
No, the other user did not login. I just logged in when installing the plugin for the first time. But showing all the administrators login from my own Google account without logging in.
All of them are able to see my adsense earing, analytics and everything. And there is my email id showing in site kit.
Same google account showing to all wordpress administrator without my permission.
Thanks for sharing the screenshot, very useful. If you’re email is showing for other administrator accounts then it’s normal that they can view data based on this Google account. How they managed to setup Site Kit with your Google account is unusual.
Note that you also stated the below previously, so I’m maybe I’m misunderstanding when you mention “No, the other user did not login.”
Actually second wordpress administrator already logged in with my google account. because site kit has register with my google account and this account is same for search console, analytics, adsense and pagespeed.
A simple solution to this may be for you to reset Site Kit. Note that once you reset Site Kit all connected services will be reset, meaning each WordPress administator must once again setup Site Kit. (Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)
After you reset Site Kit please login and setup Site Kit once more, connecting all services you previously connected, including AdSense. After doing so please create a test administrator account login with this second administrator account. Once you do so you’ll see Site Kit is not active for this second administrator account. Please setup Site Kit with this account and use a different Google account. You’ll notice that no AdSense earnings are visible providing you’ve used another Google account.
Let me know how you get on with the above. If you find the second administrator from your test account can view your data please provide a screen recording using a service such as Loom or RecordIt. You can share privately via this form. It would be ideal to see both accounts after logging in, and the connected email in the top right of your Site Kit dashboard.
I have done all steps and I got the solution. Sorry for bothering you.
