    Hello,

I used in several sites Site Kit and other plugins to install the Google Tag Manager without problems, but I tried to install for a client (amicobot.it) using site kit and other plugins and:
1- On the plugin status seems all connected fine
2- On Tag Assistant shows me that tag is NOT present.
3- If I try from Tag Manager to check the tag installed it says that is ok
4- In Google Ads (where I can really want to use the Tag Manager) I cannot see the tag installed.

If I try to debug the code seems that the 2 snippets are correcty installedin head and body.

As I said, I tryed a lot of plugins also to isnert manually the code but nothing happens.

    Please help me! ??

    Thank you

    Matteo

Thanks for reaching out @siriovelato. I checked your amicobot.it site both manually and using the tagassistant.google.com service. From doing so, I can see that there is a Google Analytics tag firing for my site visit. This is regardless of whether I consent to tracking with your consent plugin, and this is for a non Site Kit placed Analytics snippet (screenshot).

To troubleshoot any potential issues, when you mention that Tag Assistant shows me that tag is not present, as you using the legacy tag assistant browser extension, or how are you determining that your site is not tracking visitors in Analytics?

Hello James, thanks for your reply.

About Analytics, was installed not by me but other webmaster and I can see that he used Elementor code to put the Analytics code snippet, and as you can see this tag works normally (I tryed to add the Tag Manager Tag also in the same code, but nothing ?? ).

About Tag assistant I used the tagassistant.google.com (screenshot) and there I see just the Analytics tag and as you can see the GTM-KVW7QZDQ is not found.

    tnx

Thanks for the update. From reviewing your site I can see that Tag Manager code snippet placed on your site. Like you, I don’t see this tag when checking your site using the tagassistant.google.com service. This may be related to your consent plugin, as highlighted in this screenshot.

To troubleshoot this further, can you share your Site Health information, while temporarily deactivating your iubenda plugin while I check your site once more?

    Thank you!!!!

Was that plugin (Iubenda) that has a configuration to block tag manager plugin!

Now that I changed the configuration, I can see the tag manager all configured correclty.

    Thank you very much again!!

Glad I was able to assist @siriovelato. It’s not uncommon for consent type plugins to alter the standard behavior or Tag Manager snippets, although you can adjust your configurations as you please. If you run into any further errors or if you have any Site Kit related queries, be sure to get in touch.

If you have a moment free please also consider leaving a review. As it sounds like your a Site Kit user across many sites, we’d love to hear your feedback.
