Site Kit by Google doesn’t finish loading

    When loading Site Kit by Google it claims to be loaded and Activated but the WP dashboard shows only Site Kit dashboard. It goes into an endless loop for finishing loading Search Console, etc.

    HISTORY: I had successfully loaded Site Kit and proved it worked when my site was https:// only. I THEN added SSL and it stopped working and still doesn’t work after various resets, incognito starts, etc.

    CLUE: I tried loading site kit under a different email — Google told me it had already granted access through my other email. It sent an email to my new email saying it had access to the HTTP:// address (NOT https)

    If I need to tell Google to ‘forget about http and start fresh’, please tell me how.

    Other details: brand new one-page site with latest WP via GoDaddy, Site Health is good, only two plugins active (CoBlocks and Limit Login Attempts Reloaded) Oh Site Kit is current activated.

  • @jenelson11wpsupport thanks for opening a topic. We’ve made some updates to address this issue. Could you attempt the setup process again after resetting Site Kit ( Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit)? Please let us know if this is resolved for you.

    Renee, thank you. While you were typing your response I tried incognito again. This time I went Incognito first, then My Hosting from GoDaddy, then Manage Applications. I’m not sure of the purity of that sequence in previous attempts.

    IT WORKED! Site Kit is not functioning… and I’ll never know if it was your fix or me finally following instructions. I’ll credit you and your team!

    I’ve gone through a complete restart just in case.

    Hello there. i have same problem, once i activated cloudflare flexible SSL, my site kit plugin started endless loop. i removed site from google search console. reseted and deleted site kit then logged out from accounts reactivated SSL, added it to search console and tried site kit again but it’s still stuck. as soon as i deactivate SSL site kit works properly it connects to google services and shows up data in wordpress dashboard. but when i activate SSL it starts again verification process or i don’t know how to say. what is solution how can i deal with it and fix it. please someone help me
