Thanks for getting in touch?@wrathyimp. Your WordPress REST API is something that Site Kit uses in order to communicate with your site, as other plugins and services so. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Are you familiar with any plugin or hosting feature active that allows you to disable your REST API?
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking yourSite Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

Once we have the above we can provide the most suitable troubleshooting steps on this. Note also that there further information on the plugin website in relation to this.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

I can see you shared your Site Health information. Many thanks @wrathyimp. From checking your site I’m unable to access any public REST endpoints. Do let me know whether you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status (Tools > Site Health > Status). I suspect there may be something restricting your REST API, which is leading to the error you’re encountering.

I am hosting wordpress on IIS8, if there is any thing that I can configure to make sure REST api communication works.

@wrathyimp Thanks for sharing the information. This could be related to your IIS setup with WordPress but this falls out of the scope of the support we can offer. I would suggest checking through this setup guide for WordPress with IIS to ensure everything was set up as recommended.

You could also try following the troubleshooting steps here which will highlight any potential conflict that could be causing issues with communication with the REST API.

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.
