    Hi,

I deleted my UA property which didn’t collect any data for months, and I wanted to use only my G4 property.

When I set up Site Kit on my website using G4, and checked back a little later, no data was imported. Then I clicked in Site Kit on the link to Analytics and was lead to a new UA property in my Analytics account. A property that must have been automatically created.

How can I get rid of the UA properties for good? They never gather any data, and my statistics show all zeros. I have access to my G4 property only when going directly to Google Analytics. But all the tools I want to use on my website, like Site Kit and Rankmath, always try to get data from UA properties. Regardless that I only selected the G4 property when setting Site Kit or Rankmath up.

It is freaking annoying. Please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @volkerforster thanks for opening a support topic with us. Firstly, to address your question about using GA4 with Site Kit. At present, Site Kit only supports the display of UA(Universal Analytics) data and not yet GA4 within it’s dashboards. You can find out more information on this in our Using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) guide.

Here you will also find our GitHub issue for further GA4 work so please feel free to follow this for future updates on GA4 within Site Kit.

You can quickly jump to your Analytics account from the Site Kit dashboard by clicking on the Source: Analytics quick link which will take you to your account where you will be able to view your GA4 data as you have mentioned you can.

This is why the data in your Site Kit dashboard is only showing the UA data currently. You can add a UA code to the site and link this to your GA4. You can do this with the GA4 setup assistant.

We are making good progress on the GA4 reporting but I am unable to give a timeframe on when this will be implemented but it is on the radar and being worked on.

With regards to deleting a UA Analytics property then please refer to the steps here.

Hope this helps to answer your questions but let me know if I can help with anything else.
