    Hello!

I am new to Google Tag Manager, and still learning.
I’m using the Google Site Kit on WordPress, and I completed the plugin configuration linking it to my GTM account/container.
But when I try to run the preview from GTM, it connects to the website but says “Google Tag: GTM-number Not Found”.

Also, I receive this message on the Dev Tools, on the Console Tab: https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id= net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

I don’t know what i am doing wrong as i have spent many hours to find a solution. Can someone help me?

Thanks for reaching out @stxan. So we can determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Rather than run the preview through Tag Manager, can you check and see if your tag is tracking via tagassistant.google.com?

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

Thank you james for the reply

    I filled the form.

Also my tag is tracking via tagassistant.google.com, i am recieving that the “Google Tags Found” but in summary i have the message:

    “No tags found

There are currently no debuggable Google tags at that address. Please verify that:

    • There is a Google tag on the page.
    • The Google tag is not a legacy tag. Learn more
    • The Google tag is not being blocked, e.g. by a browser extension or a consent dialog.”

Also i don’t have a browser extension, only the Tag Assistant Companion

Thanks for sharing the additional information @stxan. I can confirm that a valid Tag Manager has been placed via Site Kit, and it is being recorded.

Regarding the no tags found, this may be related to having no tags added to the container you selected within Site Kit. If there are no tags added (ie. Tags to connect Facebook Pixel, a custom HTML tag, or something else), then it’s normal that you’ll see a no tags found message. Can you confirm that you didn’t yet add any tags to that container (GTM-M4S?????)?

If you don’t have any plans to add a tag, you don’t need to connect the Tag Manager module within Site Kit at this time.

Thank you James for the reply.

It is true that i had no tags in my container.

However, as i made a tag in my container (a tag for the GA4 Confiquration) after your message and i run the preview, i stil have the same problem and the message “tag not found”

Thanks for the update @stxan. Now that you’ve added the tags, can you confirm that you have published them? It’s important to publish the latest version of your connected container each time after you add a tag.
