I set up Site Kit on this website – it’s a new website – just a few days ago and it connected OK. Now I’m not seeing any options under the Site Kit menu apart from “Dashboard”. When I go to the dashboard, Site Kit is asking me to connenct my Google account but tells me that it’s been configured by another admin. There are no other admins or any other users at all on the site. When I try to sign in with my Google account it bounces back to the “Connect your Google account to Site Kit” page

(also it thinks the CMP – Coming Soon & Maintenance Plugin is a caching plugin!!)

    help!!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I’ve deactivated and uninstalled the plugin, which claims to clear all the data and then reinstalled it, same problem

Thanks for reaching out and sharing additional insights into your setup. That’s strange that you’re encountering a notice that another admin has already setup the plugin. If you’d like to share the following information we’d be happy to investigate this further:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.
    2. Did you change your own admin login at some stage, through your CMP plugin or via another method?
    3. Did you have Site Kit setup previously before migrating to this new domain/site?

From checking the CMP plugin you referred to it looks like there are user roles functionality built in. This may be resulting in Site Kit determining another user has initially setup the plugin, despite there being no other admins. One check you may wish to perform is to check whether you’re redirected back to the “Connect your Google account to Site Kit” page after temporarily deactivating this plugin and attempting setup.

The admin login name has not changed. I’m using Site Kit in several other domains and they all appear to be working OK. Details submitted by form

Many thanks for sharing. I can see the connected_user_count status within your Site Health information is 1, as is your user_count number. This seems correct as you mentioned that you’re the only user.

Can you try to temporarily deactivate the CMP plugin before attempting Site Kit setup once more? Let me know how you get on after performing this check. If you’re redirected at any stage let me know, or likewise if you see any notices or warnings please share.

I’ve already tried that – I deactivated every plugin and still not working ??

I could get into the database and change values to clear the connected users. I’ve very used to doing that, just let me know what fields need clearing

Thanks for the update. If you’re happy to reset the plugin to attempt Site Kit setup once you you can do so by “Tools > Available Tools > Reset Site Kit“. This can be used as an alternative to making any database changes, with the plugin connecting to a the Site Kit authentication service to verify admin users. Resetting will disconnect your site and allow you to setup the plugin once more.

Let me know how you get on after performing a reset.

If you encounter any setup issues after the reset please share any error messages encountered or share at what point you’re redirected as before if applicable.
