Hello. My site domain is https://pallomabg.com/ and there is redirection to it from https://www.pallomabg.com/ one week ago I made a change of the WordPress settings to make the site URL to start with WWW and when I changed it Site Kit asked me to reconnect because the site URL has changed I did that successfully but since then my visitors count in the Site Kit dashboard dropped significantly to 1 or 2 (which I think are from me visiting the site in incognito mode). I tried to return the WordPress setting of the site URL to be without WWW, reconnected again because Site Kit asked me to do so but there is no change in the visitors count. I know there are should be more visitors because my Facebook ads show me that there are many clicks to my site (I tried to configure the ads both with and without WWW but there were no change in the visitors count). Can you help me out with this problem?

Hello @petyopetkov thanks for opening a support topic and explaining your scenario in detail. When you renconnected Site Kit on the new URL with www, did you use the same Analytics property as you were previously using or did you create a new property?

Could I also check with you if the data in Site Kit you see matches your data in the Analytics platform? Could you also share your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.

Looking at your site source code it also looks like something may be altering the Site Kit placed code on your site so this could be the reason for the unexpected stats. Once you share your Site Health Information I can take a look to see what may be causing that. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

    Hello @adamdunnage

    1. When you renconnected Site Kit on the new URL with www, did you use the same Analytics property as you were previously using or did you create a new property – I used the plug in which redirected me to the google page where I reconnected the site and it was successful.
    2. Could I also check with you if the data in Site Kit you see matches your data in the?Analytics platform? Could you also share your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred. – The results are the same and I posted Site Health Info in the form.
    3. Looking at your site source code it also looks like something may be altering the Site Kit placed code on your site so this could be the reason for the unexpected stats. – If you need any other info please tell me

      Thank you for your time.

@petyopetkov Thanks for sharing all of the information it’s very helpful. I can see that you have a number of plugins active in your site with the WP Fastest Cache plugin notable for potentially altering your site source code. Could you please check your WP Fastest Cache settings to see if you are using any CSS or JavaScript minification on your site? If you are could you please disable this setting temporarily and let me know once done so I can check your source code once more?

@petyopetkov Thanks for trying but unfortunately I don’t see any difference. It’s possible that this could be the result of another plugin or even your theme. One thing you can try here is to follow the troubleshooting steps here. Once in troubleshooting mode with just Site Kit active, check your site source code to see if you can see the Site Kit placed code for Analytics.

Alternatively you could try manually disabling your plugins one by one checking your site source code as you do to see if the Site Kit placed Analytics code is visible. It does look like that WooCommerce could be causing this and altering the code on your site so this could be a good starting point. I am also happy to check for you if you’d like me to when manually disabling plugins.

I think now I see the Site Kite code. Please correct me if I am wrong or tell me what should I look for

@petyopetkov If you check from view-source:https://pallomabg.com/ then you will see that there isn’t a Site Kit placed Analytics code as I would expect there to be if you have the Analytics module connected in Site Kit.

You should be able to see an Analytics code snippet as shown in our documentation here. Certain things can alter or even block these code snippets such as third party plugins and specific settings within those such as minification settings. This is the likely reason you are not seeing visitor numbers to your site because they’re not being recorded due to the code snippet not being placed.

Could you try following the suggestions above checking each time for the Analytics placed snippet by Site Kit in your source code. This is the best way to narrow this down and find the cause. But as suggested I would start with the WooCommerce plugins and your theme. You only need to temporarily disable these to find the conflict and then we can hopefully either switch the specific setting off or provide and exception rule.

Let me know if you have any questions at this time.

I searched for the code from the documentation and it seems that all the parts are there, they are just place in different places not side by side. If you like you can try view it in incognito mode and search for the different pieces of the code. I will leave the site as it is for today and check tomorrow if the visitors count increases. And I will contact you again. Thank you for your time

Hi @petyopetkov, I just wanted to check back in with you to see if everything was okay and if there is anything else I can help with?

Hello. Unfortunately the visit count is still very low. I changed the sitw url to be with WWW everywhere and my Facebook ads shows that hundreds of clicks on my ad but Site kit keeps showing only 1-2-3 visits per day. I think maybe it is because most people open my site through the Facebook app native browser and the script from Site Kit is blocked. But still I don’t have the time yo debug the problem anymore. If you have a suggestion that could help I will try it. Thank you for your time.

@petyopetkov Thanks for the update and sorry to hear you’re not getting the views you are expecting. When checking your site on https://tagassistant.google.com/ I can see that an Analytics tag is firing so there doesn’t look to be an issue there.

It might be worth checking at the Analytics Help Center to see if anyone there can suggest why this may be happening. Everything on the Site Kit side as far as I can see looks right.

If there is anything else I can help with regards to Site Kit please let me know.
