• Hi,
I have a wordpress site, and it have been running fine for a while with everything translated to Danish (native language ??

After updating the site core + plugins and theme the site translation just went a-wire.

    1) I have tried to reinstall the core – not working
    2) Change theme – not working
    3) delete all translation from site and re-enable it in settings – not working (but i can see that wordpress donwloads the .mo and .po files)

I have read the the define(‘wplang’…. variable in wp-config.php is not used anymore and that this change is new to 4.3.1 – don’t know if this is root cause to my problem.

    Please help
    BR
    Kenni

Does anyone have any suggestion to why this is not working?

Do you have any caching enabled on your site? You may need to clear this after the update for the languages to be updated too.

Went a-wire, can you explain a bit more in detail, error messages, no danish translations anymore, white page or what happened?

I do remember a problem in wp-config that was solved with using
    $locale='dk_DK';
    And NOT using:
    WPLANG’,’dk_DK

    Hi Guys
    Thanks for the response ??
At current time we do not have any cache enabled – but good point though.

I have already tried the $locale=’dk_DK’; as well as $locale=’da_DK’; also not working.

I tried to read the wp-option table in the mysql and there the setting wplang=da_dk is stored whenever i make the change in the settings tab, but without any change to the website..

    Still lost in translation ??
