  • I too have been getting the same exact issue. Had to disable until I can find the fix

I went back to 2.3.3 and the issue is fixed. It’s something in V. 2.3.5 that is causing this.

Sometimes strange behavior may be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. The fastest way to rule out conflicts is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Fourteen. If this resolves the issue, you have a conflict and should activate one plugin at a time until you locate the conflict. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or a theme conflict.

If you are unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we wrote a small guide that will walk you through the steps. You can find it here: How To Check For Plugin Conflicts: https://kb.yoast.com/article/253-how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts

Having the same issue with one of my sites, I played the process of elimination game to find the conflict. I found then, disabled the plugin ‘WP Attachments’ and all is well regarding load times.

I’ve written on their support forum for assistance with their plugin.

Thanks for the update Curtis. I hope Nick Sarro and stevepett can let us know.

Also, try using the P4 Profiler plugin to also track down the culprit. Pingdom can hang up sometimes… like it did for me on stevepett’s site.

I disabled all plugins and all themes besides the ones that come with wordpress, and still the load time of the site is very very very long. When I disable the Yoast plugin it immediately speeds up.
