• I’ve been doing a lot of work on a website this week, all through the WP dashboard, with my IP address added to the whitelist section.

Over the past 3 days, I have received dozens of emails from the plugin with:
    Site Lockout Notification
“too many attempts to access a file that does not exist”

Because the IP address is whitelisted, I don’t actually get locked out, but why is this happening at all?? I am simply updating the pages via the dashboard. Another weird thing is that I only get these emails in the afternoon/evening, even though I have been working on the site since 7am this morning. And no, I’m not doing anything different in the afternoon.

    Any thoughts?

  • I have the exact same issue. Being caused by an avatar

Would you mind expanding on that? Not sure what you mean. I had to stop the notifications because the volume of emails I was getting was ridiculous. Thanks!

me too. For me its the site’s own ip, as it refreshes cached pages. 250+ lockout notice emails this morning.
