Site Logo – kludgy workaround

  • Assigning or changing the Site Logo within any of the relevant templates (site, header, etc) just doesn’t work. No upload/media library option.

    I created a post & added the Site Logo block.
    Added the image I wanted.
    Saved the post.

    There is now a Site Logo! It can even be replaced – again, in the post I made.
    And when I delete that post, the Site Logo remains intact.

    This is similar to how Jamie Marsland shows how to create a new template by doing so by creating a new page and, on that page, a new template.

  • Generally, the site logo is managed under Customizer settings. If you’re using any specific theme or plugin that has different setup for logo or header then you need to contact that theme or plugin support directly.
