Site maintenance

Hello and thank you for this excellent plugin.

Do you have any suggestions for the scenario where maintenance is needed and it is very difficult to synchronise maintenance on all user facing sites, which means a sync could fail and be dropped. Is there perhaps a queue facility working or planned that could resume syncing when the remote site reappears?
