site missing sidebar and footer

  • (there’s no choice for it, but i’m actually on 2.8.1)

    so yesterday i was having some issues with a plug-in that was making my site unopenable. i seemed to have been able to fix it by deleting every plugin and readding them one at a time… however now, bizarrely, i have no widgets showing in my sidebar nor do i have a footer area that would show who the theme is by and the other stuff that always shows up regardless of theme/plugins. i don’t know what really to do or where to look to try and retrieve it… there should be a big red button that says “Watch Live” on the sidebar as well as my podcast subscribe buttons. none of that is showing up for me since yesterday. if anyone can offer any assistance on how to get them back, please, i need help!

  • Deactivate all plugins again but this time, reactivate them one at a time – checking the site and Admin section thoroughly before continuing. That way you should be able to isolate the plugins(s) that are causing the problems.
