    Hello,

I own and operate a web business, and have set up a new hosting account with a domain transfer.

I have installed WordPress and the hosting provider gave me a preview link to view my site on.

In IE it is not being displayed correctly, but in Firefox it is.

Also, Do I need to wait for the domain to be transfered, before I log in?

Because when I try, it takes me to my original site with wordpress.com – not my new site with my new hosting provider.

How do I log in so I can set up my site with www.ads-software.com – on my preview link before my domain is transfered over (which will take up to 72 hours from today).

Any help greatly appreciated – please PM and I can provide link.

    Many thanks

Note: IE site is now working on pre-view link.

But how do I log into my admin area; without the domain being transfered. Presummably this will work on a Pre-view link? Because it is taking me back to my original blog with wordpress.com which I don’t want. Everything has been set up correctly with new host with www.ads-software.com; just waiting for domain to be transfer.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Your host should have provided you with a ip address that you can use to access your site until the DNS on the server updates. DNS updates can take up to 72 hours to propagate but it is usually less than that…anywhere from 1-4 hours.

Meaning instead of accessing your site through https://example.com you would access it through 127.0.0.1 – these are just examples and won’t work for your situation.
