    Hi,

I run my site off of a raspberry pi 2. After upgrading to 4.3 and watching the video showing what was new my site, https://nyx2.asuscomm.com/ , has become unusable. The site itself and wp-admin load incredibly slowly and only partially load at best, similar to what happens when trying to access the web from a poor connection. I have tried deleting all themes except twenty-fifteen (site doesn’t load at all doing this), removing all plugins, clearing the site’s cache and local browser cache, manually updating the site, and the fix for CPU load mentioned in the pinned thread. However, none of these have fixed the site. I then decided to try and manually downgrade back to 4.2 and restore the theme and plugins but the issue annoyingly has persisted. Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

    Thank you.

Update: Tried deleting cache, plugins, and other themes again with the downgrade but still the having same issue. Also, not sure if it helps in determining what is wrong, but the site still tries to load with the theme I have deleted.

I don’t know, and I’ve not gotten an answer either, and I’ve done all the same stuff as much as I can. Plus, I am NOT a technical person so the “fix” in the pinned post is equivalent to me reading my sons’ German homework. It means NOTHING to me. All I keep hearing is that it will be fixed in the next update, but it doesn’t seem as if there is a rush to GET the next update OUT… and quite frankly, I’m pissed. I have a huge promotion starting on the 1st with 60 different suppliers and I am NOT HAPPY.

Sorry to hear you are having difficulties as well. The fix is not that technical a thing to do. All you need is an FTP client (like FileZilla) and a text editor (even notepad works – though things are more readible using Notepad++ or Sublime). There are plenty of guides online for how to use these.

In relation to my issue, I have just uploaded a screenshot showing what my wp-admin page looks like when it does load.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide on this issue.

Update 2: Sorry, I should have done this earlier. It looks like a potential reason for the issue is waiting for my DNS changes to propogate. Inspecting the page shows roughly 14 errors where failed to load resource as it’s calling from the proper address for the site (constellations.scot). The link I provided earlier is a dynamic DNS provided by the router. Soon after the issue occurred my internet went down and I had to restart the cable modem which resets my IP so need to update the DNS host with new one. Wondering now whether the fix has worked (CPU load is near enough 0) and its just a case of waiting for changes to propogate before the sites loads correctly again. Will post an update once I know if this was the issue or not.

Yep, it was my own stupid fault and not the upgrade. There must have been an initial slowdown in the site after the upgrade (or before I tried the fix) and then after I reset my router the site wasn’t able to look correctly due until DNS updated that made it look like continuation of the same issue.

And still… no clue what any of that means. LOL! Hope your efforts to fix work for you ?? !
