Site not showing up after install

Might be that the DNS has not fully propagated or check whether there is a file in the root for that 123-reg login page.

Sorry I’m completely new to all of this so don’t have much of an idea, do you mean the domain name isn’t linked correctly to wordpress?

try issuing a dos command in CMD.

ipconfig /flushdns

let me know if that works

In simeple words you have to wait for up to 24 hours for the site to get connected to each other. anyway paste your link here so we can have a look at it.

Most likely it’s just the delay in the domain name servers making the connection to your site’s new home, as kanga roo says above. But if it doesn’t fix itself in a day, here is another idea to check:

Is your wordpress install in a subdirectory?
i.e. https://www.yoursite.com/wordpress/ instead of just https://www.yoursite.com?

If that’s the case, the hosting company might still have a template index.html or index.php in the root directory. You will have to get rid of it and follow the instructions here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
