  • Hi Socuine,

    Let me ask you few questions before suggesting a solution.
    1. Did you transfer all of your files from sub directory to the root directory?
    2. Your site was in /new-site/ directory or /winkel/ directory?
    3. Did you do the #5 point(Copy and Edit Files) correctly of the tutorial you followed?

    It looks like you transferred all your files to root directory instead of index.php & .htaccess files only.

    Thanks,
    Ghanshyam

    Hello Ghanshyam Khanal,

    I tried something else (still fail though).

    1. I had a sub directory called “new-site” on the domain “badmintonwebshop.com”.;
    2. I manually transfered the contents of “new-site” to the root directory of the domain (stupid I know..);
    3. I edited the Site and WordPress URL(s) in the Database (manually).

    Current situation is:

    When I navigate to https://www.badmintonwebshop.com/ it re-directs me to the sub dir “new-site”- so I get landed on https://www.badmintonwebshop.com/new-site/

    However. If I navigate to https://www.badmintonwebshop.com/winkel the whole site works (note: this is a webshop). Payments, product navigation or whatsoever works. I just cant navigate the HOME page, because it always redirects me to the new-site dir…

    ??

    EDIT:

    PROBLEM SOLVED! ?? ..

    I was the cause. I had a redirect in my htaccess. Sorry
