• HI there
I am trying to add two images on the home page, side by side, with the relevant text info (three or four lines below each).
I have tried for an hour, using the left justification and right, and whenever I preview the site it isn’t like the page that I changed. It seems as though there is no way for me to get this right. Please advise.
    Thanks so much!

    Hey there,

Could you please give me more information about this? For example, how are you adding this content – by a plugin or your theme? Also, where exactly on the page are those images and texts? A screenshot pointing it would be appreciated.

    Let me know. Thank you,
    Euler.

    Hi there Euler
    Thanks for your reply.
I am simply adding it to the page., no plug in. Should I use one?
I don’t know how to attach a screen shot.

I have two pictures, with some text under each.
I am not using anything to lay it out, just adding the media (pics) and the text below. But the problem is that when I preview the page it doesn’t look as I have made it on the page.
    Thanks!

    Hello Mark,
No, not necessarily you should use an external plugin, but probably you’re adding the content through the Classic Editor or Gutenberg.

You can use this site to upload the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/, then you just have to share the link here. Can you please take one from the preview and another from the ideal look?

    Regards,
    Euler.

    Hi there
SO this is how it looks when I preview, https://snipboard.io/NX6Wkm.jpg
and here it is in the editor, how I want it to look.https://snipboard.io/WQ45lr.jpg

    Thanks for your help!

Hmm, pretty odd. I can give you some suggestions:

    – Which theme are you using? Perhaps its support can help you with this
    – Have you tried to fix it through CSS? I tried to find this page on your website, but I couldn’t. If you share the link, I can test some possible CSS codes
    – Now, yes, test another plugin would be interesting. Maybe Gutenberg, or Elementor [?]

How you want it to look requires each image and text to be in its own Block. Then put one Block on the left and one on the right.

    Hi Rob
I can’t seem to find the + on the page so I don’t know how to access the blocks.
    Please advise, with thanks!

Only advice I can give is to read the documentation of the Page Editor you are using. Or, like most of us, do the trial & error method. ??

    Thanks Rob
I added Gutenberg and now I see how to do the clocks. But now it won’t add the blocks to the place I need it to be added. It randomly only allows me to add the block to the bottom of the page, rather than where I needed it to go.
DO you know how I can do that?

The learning is in the doing, so the more practice one gets the better at using it.

I can tell you that when wanting more than one image in a block, add the images as ‘in-line images’ and you’ll be able to align them left, center, right.
